• Home study documentation ✅
• First set of documentation sent to USCIS ✅
  • Last time this task took 71 days for us to receive the approval back. In the mean-time, we worked on apostilled documents and getting the packet ready to go overseas. So this is where we are, currently as far as the waiting stage.

Currently in the process of submitting for grants and still continuing to fundraise. Since the home study documentation is in, we can apply for grants and continue to grind and do what we can.

Current active fundraisers:

• will participate in collinsville Christmas on December 13
• Tshirt fundraiser will begin in the next few weeks – still working on those designs (will probably offer more than simple tshirts, if possible)
• Continuing to upcycle textiles with PhillTheBpx (PTB). We were told today there is a very good chance we can continue past our original contract date of December.
• Jeep raffle (ongoing)
• F’s art work will be for sale – some of his digital drawings on the iPad that he’s done through “drawing desk” app. They’ll be available in color. He’s asking 10$ each for them.
• Calendar sponsorships will start back after we work through some formalities about a matching grant we’ve received (word of mouth, not official)
• We will also be creating a page on our site to list items we were given or donated to sale.

What’s next as far as processes?

• Documents apostilled by Secretary of State
• Apostilled documents sent overseas and translated

We are in the process of communicating with Milkglass Market to try to partner with them before the new year.
